First Turk who cross the Sahara and sailed to North Pole. Between 1970-1976 sailed around the World. With the age of 20 he crossed the Atlantic. Because he trained many sailing instructors, Turkish sailors call him '' Teachers teacher''.
He sailed second time around the World with his wife Mayisa between 10.10.2010 and 10.04.2012. on board GOKOVA III, a 40 ft
Mills Design sailboat. From Marmaris to Marmaris this circumnavigation took 18 mounts. He became first Turk to sail around the world twice. The sailing school he opened in 1988 graduated 14.620 sailors by the year 2024.
